My Joyous Four

As I count down the days until school is out...13 to be exact; I have a feeling I will be counting down the days until school starts back before summer has ended! I'll keep you informed. We got alot accomplished with the pool this afternoon so maybe it will be just right when the kids are free to enjoy it. I thought I would add a few random photos of life in our home recently. Michael has officially been banned from the bathrooms except when going for bath time. I'm sure by the photos you will understand why. He has also discovered the toilet and its great function. Everywhere is a playground and everything he finds becomes a toy or food.

Amber has been accepted into the National Honor Society and we are very proud of her efforts to make herself a better student and one capable of leadership. She has done an outstanding job this year in her studies. She will also be auditioning sometime in the summer for Pensacola's Little Theatre and is in hopes to keep busy with performances. She lives to act on stage. Just the other day, I was walking down the hallway in my own little world where it was quiet and peaceful and singing softly to the Lord. Suddenly I hear this awful screaming right behind me and jerk around to see my daughter falling to the floor, gasping and laughing so hard she could barely breathe. The child almost made me go into cardiac arrest...only to find out she was "just practicing". I never saw that one coming.

I'm almost certain David wakes to the sound of race cars in his head. It is all he talks about and the only, and I mean ONLY thing he plays. Whether its the little Nascar stock cars or his bicycle or something else, its always a race to the checkered flag. I'm sure you know how his room is decorated...(sigh) We felt like we had no choice in the matter if we wanted him to be pleased. We hope to take him to Atlanta's Speedway in September if we can get tickets and maybe it won't cause him to go over the top with this thing. Sometimes I think fuel is running through his veins instead of blood...he's just that animated about racing.

Joshua is the deep thinker. He enjoys analyzing things and learning how they are designed, finding out what makes something more efficient. Maybe he will be an engineer...who knows. He has enough of myself in him to make him stubborn and enough of his Dad to make him very intelligent...(sigh again) I trust God to intervene on the stubborn part and enhance the intelligence! I think back to the night the Lord told me to name my unborn child, Joshua. I had not found out the sex but I knew it that night. The Lord told me he would be a leader and I believe that with all my heart. Even now at eight years old, he has a very sensitive heart towards the Lord. I am just waiting to see where God will take him and what He will do with Joshua's life.

Well, as you can see, I'm a proud Momma! I enjoy motherhood to the fullest. I am so blessed to have been given such wonderful gifts. They are my crown.
